Tea Together

Tea Together is a set that premiered in the SU! 2019 Occasions Catalog and made the cut into the 2019-2020 Stampin' Up! Annual catalog.  It's really a beautiful, versatile set.  I took some flourishes from the detailed laser-cut speciality paper, doily and sequins to add more texture.  The ribbon is the Petal Pink satin, layered with the Polka Dot tulle ribbon.

All products are Stampin' Up!, unless otherwise noted

Wonderful Romance

This set from the 2019 SU! Occasions catalog is super delicate and pretty.  Plus there are so many beautiful accents in the suite - ribbon, floral seals and DSP, which includes vellum sheets.  The flowers are fussy cut, have a pearl in the centers and are mounted on Dimensionals.

Climbing Roses

I love this set and I especially love the Shimmer detailed laser-cut paper!  The laser-cuts are a little difficult to handle, but if you keep the tissue paper between the sheets, they don't get tangled up.  I like the layers of texture here, from the laser-cut paper, to the pierced edge on the So Saffron layer and the white gel pen highlights on the roses.

Garden Shed

I was so happy to open the new Stampin' Up! catalog to find the Garden Shed set!  Finally, something with a vintage, line-drawn feel to watercolor -- especially with one of my favorite shabby chic themes, gardening.

The smaller, dark green DSP layer is a small card from the Magnolia Lane Memories & More card pack.  I really like how they give coordinating patterns to work off the Magnolia Lane  and the Garden Lane DSP.  These little card packs are fantastic to give your project a little more pizzazz!

All products are Stampin' Up!, unless otherwise noted

This card is using one of my favorite techniques -- Peeling Wallpaper.  After you cut two coordinating layers of DSP, sponges the edges of both layers, front and back, with ink of your choice.  I tend to generally use Soft Suede, as it pretty much goes with everything, and gives a nice tea-stained look.  The key to this look is making tiny tears in one or both layers, rolling the edges with your fingers.  Metallic brads are a nice way to "anchor" your peeling layers, then merely affix your other embellishments (if any) and your stamped image.  Voila!

FYI, this is a partial  case (of the central image) from the new catalog.

Country Floral

This is such a simple card, but it's got such texture. The floral bloom and sentiment is from the set Good Morning.  And the embossing from the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder.  A hard-won word to the wise -- don't use run these Dynamic Textured Impressions folder your Big Shot without the 3-D embossing folder plate.  You'll break your Big Shot.  Trust me on that.

Tuscan Vineyard

I love the vintage look of this set!  It begs to be watercolored, which is my favorite technique of all time, as you'll soon see.  I used a white gel pen to get all the highlights on the stamped/watercolored images and White of Stella (white) on the mountains to give them a little gleam.

All images are Stampin Up!, unless otherwise noted.
