Shabby Daisies

How do you shabby up something as intrinsically cheerful as a daisy?  Well, it take some work, a bunch of Soft Suede ink and about three days!

There are a lot of moving parts here, the best of which is an old trick of mine -- making a piece of a page from a spiral notebook.  The lines are drawn with an old Bordering Blue marker and I used the old Spiral punch for the wholes.  I've also used another old favorite, torn wallpaper.  A sheet from the Delightful Daisy DSP is layered over a sheet from the First Edition DSP, then torn and sponged to give it an vintage look.  If you still have the old SU! Tearing Edge in your toolbox, it will help give you the perfect torn edges.

There's a daisy that's made by using the Medium Daisy punch with the Perennial Essence Floral Centers embellishments.  There is another daisy from Daisy Lane using Soft Suede ink and cut out to give it more of a botanical sketch in the notebook.  The ferns are done by inking the whole stamp with Pear Pizzazz ink, then adding some lowlights with Mossy Meadow marker, the fussy cut and adhered, giving them a light, weightless feel.  The bottom and top edges are taken from the Delicate Lace edgelits, then torn to mimic the torn layers of wallpaper and a very thin piece of Gold foil is adhered above the torn border die.
